Damascus Map
After living in Syria for a long time and working through the stories of my time there, I realized how vividly the city still lives in my memory. I remember its map by heart — which shop stood on which corner, which restaurant held which moment, which street carried which memory. It made me wonder how it must feel for someone who grew up in Damascus and was forced to leave it behind.
